Hmm, what to say. Its Sunday night, i have drank (drunk?) an entire bottle, save half a glass, of California zin. Watching Canada/USA gold medal game. Not sure how important hockey is in the big picture. Switched to family guy. Hows that for relevant? Who cares if you win gold, or if you win anything? Seriously. Does it matter? If you don’t then someone else will . some fleeting, name-forgotten Russian or Czech or Swede or whoever. And who cares if you don`t? You’ll be no less of a person, no less of an athlete, just someone who, on that particular day, wasn’t at the top of your game. Or should I say TOP OF THE WORLD - for you, Olypmic athlete, are at the very top of the world. Possibly fifth in the world. Do you know how many people there are in the world? Enough to make fifth seem pretty fucking awesome is how many. But that’s just me. I’m not a country, nor a corporation within a country, that has bought into and subsequently sold your ‘gold medal potential’ as a means of profiting off the patriotism or validating the citizenship of said country. Hmm, that must be the zin talking.
